Texas Governor Rick Perry (R) has officially jumped into the 2012 presidential race. The Texas Governor is running on the notion that he has a track record of creating jobs in Texas. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Texas has created more jobs in the last year than any other state in the country. His campaign has already launched a Rick Perry for President website.

Herman Cain Announces his Candidacy for the Republican Presidential Nomination in 2012

During a live event covered by C-SPAN, Herman Cain announced that he will be candidate for the Republican Presidential Nomination in 2012. Herman Cain is a businessman, radio talk show host, and political activist from Georgia. Cain ran for the U.S. Senate in Georgia in 2004 but came in second in the primary with 26.2% of the vote.

During Cain's speech today he claimed that America needs a new vision and talked about the current unemployment rates, increase in number of people on food stamps, and $4 a gallon gas prices. He also claimed that President Obama recently threw Israel under the bus. The announcement speech was held in Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park.
